Overview
We are currently recruiting an Aircraft Engineer for an independent based aerospace manufacturer who specialise in Airbus and Boeing, based in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales. The company has ambitious plans for growth over the coming 12 months; driving an agenda to improve efficiency and streamline operations to support and ensure the continued growth and success of the team and the business.
The Role
• Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in response to customers’ requirements.
• Responsibility for supervising, mentoring & delegating resources to ensure the smooth running of the operation, whilst meeting the Part 145 maintenance requirements, internal processes and procedures and customer SLAs.
• Ensure adherence to H&S procedures and maintaining quality standards
• Upholding the highest level of engineering standards and practices, you will assist in driving the team to deliver defect rectification & investigation, repair, overhaul and modifications.
Duties:
• Maintaining an oversight of all aspects of maintenance on the customers A400M fleet worldwide
• Acting as a focal point for the engineering organisation and liaising with the part 145 maintenance organisation, the part M organisation, the safety and compliance team and the customers to ensure the continued smooth operation of the customers fleet
• Management and recovery of AOG aircraft world wide
• Analysis of technical delays
• Management of deferred defects, ensuring that they actioned in a timely manner and applying for repair interval extensions when necessary
• Management of maintenance concessions
• Management of aircraft robberies
• Ensuring that aircraft are in the correct role configuration to fulfil the customers mission requirements
• Liaising with the logistic team to ensure that all required parts are available in the correct location when required
• Reporting aircraft availability and serviceability both internally and to the customer
• Monitoring the performance of the third party MRO.
• Liaising with planning and flight operations to ensure all required maintenance is carried out in a timely manner, and to optimise the use of available ground time to ensure that the customers tasking requirements are met
• Participating in department continuous improvement processes
• Management of technical queries and liaising with Airbus customer services to provide timely solutions to technical issues
• Other tasks as required by the Maintenance Control Manager
The Person
• B1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence
o Type Rating & Recency for:
o B737CL / B737NG
o Airbus A320 Family
• 5 years aircraft maintenance experience
The Package
• Salary of £50,000 + £5,000 shift allowance
• Shift pattern: 7am – 7pm on a 4,5,5,4,5,5 shift pattern. This shift pattern guarantees the employee will work 2 weekends in and the following 2 weekends off
